What to Do when a Blue Screen of Death Appears

When your computer suffers a software crash, your screen will project a blue screen with a crash report written all over it. This screen is more commonly called the ”Blue Screen of Death”. If your office computer crashes, here are some safety precautions you can do to restore your computer.
  • System Restore: This is a feature of Windows wherein the system will go back to a previous state where it is working properly. This can eliminate software problems.
  • Remove Your Malware: Crashes can also be caused by malware that has reached the depths of your system. Scan and remove the malware and see if this fixes the problem.
  • Update Your Drivers: Download the latest software drivers for your computer if you get blue screened. Faulty drivers is often the culprit of most computer crashes.
  • Safe Mode: Boot your computer to safe mode to access your computer with limited features. This can also help identify the cause of the blue screen.
  • Check Your Hardware: You may have accidentally kicked your CPU or spilled hot coffee in it. Check your computer for physical damages that may have caused the crash.
  • Reinstall Windows: Hopefully, you won’t resort to this. But if everything else failed, reinstalling Windows is the last option.
